My daily gratitude for:
- The presence of people when anxiety and grief start setting in. I see this at the hospital and see it in other places as well and I just marvel at the power of presence for others, and for me.
- Dad jokes. I have loved this growing skill of mine!
- Throwing some discs at Camp For All before families arrived and having that quiet and alone time.
- The Retreat of Renewal, a Camp for families who have lost a child to cancer. This weekend I get to work with fathers and mothers whose love has been tested and challenged and stretched and deepened. I love them deeply and love this work deeply as my place of strength and refuge.
