My daily gratitude for:
- Ash Wednesday and Lent. On these days I get to place ashes on many people in the hospital with the powerful phrases “Turn from sin and obey the gospel” or “Remember from dust you came and to dust you will return.” It is these phrases that offer me a glimpse of great hearts and devotion of many others. It is a real privilege.
- The Texas Children’s Pulmonary Hypertension Program. I am honored to serve many of the families who are part of this program, and I have met some amazing and persevering parents during my time at TCH.
- My good friend Ruben Lopez who celebrated a birthday yesterday. He and I connected in AP Euro History and college sports and pizza…and he’s a great friend! Happy birthday!
